“Climb the mountains and get their good tidings. Everybody needs beauty as well as bread, places to play in and pray in, where nature may heal and cheer and give strength to the body and soul.” -John Muir

Two Oceans Lake

Another Sunday drive leads us to Two Oceans Lake trail. Wildflowers burst from the meadows as the Tetons rose from the backdrop. We've learned about a new orangish-red flower called Indian Paintbrush. The blooms spring through the surrounding bluebells and yellow mountain flowers that remind us of black-eyed susans.

We looked for moose near the Lake's thickets. We saw plenty of tracks, but no animals, except for smaller snakes.
The 7-mile hike began beneath a gray sky. Tenacious mosquitoes kept us swatting for most of the way. But the clouds traveled on and the sun beat down as we finished.
