Week in review

Traci: So what did you think of fly fishing?
Jason: It's extremely technical, but rewarding.
Traci: How so?
Jason: There's so much more to do technically and manually. Basically, regarding the variable casting techniques and the proper maintenance of the line in the water.
Traci: Wasn't Tom (pictured showing Jason how to cast) talking about using flies that are similiar to insects to fool the fish?
Jason: Yes, it's a regular conversation on what insects are occurring naturally and which ones to imitate to induce a strike.
Traci: The insects can strike? I didn't even know they unionized.
Jason: Tom, Mikey and Andy have an in-depth knowledge of local entymology.

(Jason and Mikey went fly fishing three days last week to Crystal Creek and Firehole River in Yellowstone, about five miles from Old Faithful)

Even rain is gorgeous in Jackson Hole...

Fly fishing is all about the pause. Have you found a good spot for your hives?
